BAL is taking a major step in achieving its objective of doubling the size of the business. Later this year the company will purchase the adjacent building creating an additional 50% extra space and increasing the size of BAL’s premises from 25,000 square foot to 40,000 square foot – which includes a building and additional parking space.
The company has come a long way since 1999 when they were leasing one building out of the existing five, having started at a different location in 1997. The expansion will allow the creation of a modern, integrated manufacturing facility as well as increasing capacity, a necessity based on BAL’s growth ambitions. Over the years the company has expanded its heatsink range and focussed on growing export sales in this sector. More recent developments have seen diversification into other market sectors: automotive, office partitioning and aluminium extrusion.
Stefan Kucharczyk, Managing Director of BAL Group says, “the purchase of the neighbouring building is one of the steps to achieving our ultimate objective of doubling the size of the business. It is a major investment for the company but we are confident on the return on investment. The move is planned for late 2015 after extensive refurbishment of the existing building.”
