BAL Group has recently made a substantial investment in 1,400 m² of solar panels at its Farrow Road head office in Great Barr, Birmingham.
The panels were supplied and installed by Solarsense, one of the UK’s most established solar panel and clean energy technology contractors. The company specialise in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of solar panels and other renewable energy technologies.
The solar panels will enable BAL Group to achieve a reduced carbon footprint, energy independence as well as offering real financial savings, thus encompassing some of the key objectives of Solarsense in delivering their range of renewable energy solutions.
The acquisition will enhance BAL’s green credentials and forms part of the company’s environmental policy which aims to reach zero carbon footprint within seven years.
Steve Kane, Managing Director of BAL Group explains, “We are working in conjunction with some of larger clients to help them achieve their sustainability objectives.”
He adds “The investment in the solar panels also forms one of the steps to achieving our ultimate objective of becoming a carbon neutral business by 2030.”
